Forum addressing "How to become an interdisciplinary biomedical talent"
This afternoon, TiBIA (Taiwan Biomedical Innovation Association) and Global Bio & Investment Monthly held a forum addressing "how to become an interdisciplinary biomedical talent", and invited three representative talents to share their experiences.

Dr. Feng-Chi Chen, Institute of Population Health Sciences of NHRI, started his career as a middle school teacher. However, his passion to explore urged him to persuade a "divergent" life, from genomics, venture capitals (VCs), bioinformatics to intellectual property.

Michel Chu, a serial entrepreneur, described his career life as an "amoeba". During his career in VCs, he always needs to adapt new domain knowledge, from software, biomedical, semiconductor, energy, automotive industry. Among them, biomedicine always brings him the strongest culture shocks.

Dr. Chia-Ning Shen, Academia Sinica, Taiwan and co-founder of CellTech Accelerator, was fascinated by the life cycle of jelly fish and regeneration of amphibian animals when he was a college student. Spontaneously, he became a stem cell scientist in Taiwan, but he also faced challenges when he was assigned to establish Biohub Taiwan and the ecosystem in @National Biotechnology Research Park (#NBRP).

In this event, those three talents also shared their insights on international collaboration between Taiwan and the world. Don't miss these articles!
