Biostatistics plays a critical role in new drug development from drug discovery, preclinical development to all-phase clinical trials; however, not all biotech companies in Taiwan are aware of the importance of the biostatistics. The panel discussion will be focused on the current state of the biostatistics in Taiwan, with the objective of identifying the key gaps and issues, their corresponding solutions, and formation of action teams leading the solution execution.

Dr. Nai-Tee Ting 丁迺迪, Driector of Statistics, Boehringer Ingelheim held 18 training sessions to Project Managers and CEOs of various new drug companies introducing the concept of applying statistics to make critical product development decisions.2.
