Congratulations to the Development Center for Biotechnology (#DCB) on its 40th anniversary, providing a powerful force for industry advancement!

With over 40 years of dedication, DCB has pioneered and nurtured numerous talented individuals who have contributed to industry growth and development. Chairman Shiingjer Twu (涂醒哲) highlighted DCB's success in fostering spin-off startups, including QPS Taiwan, EirGenix, Inc. , and TFBS Bioscience, Inc. Last year, DCB established Taiwan Biopharma Manufacturing Company (#TBMC) with its independent CHO-C, nucleic acid, and viral vector technologies.

Chia-lung Lin (林佳龍), Secretary-General to the president of Taiwan, affirmed the government's commitment to accelerating the development of the biotech and medical industry, with the Ministry of Economic Affairs investing over USD 300 million in nucleic acid drugs, cell therapy, digital healthcare, and CDMO over the next four years.

DCB also presented the Heritage Awards to nine outstanding alumni for their remarkable achievements in establishing new ventures and advancing technology licensing in the biotech sector, underscoring their invaluable contributions to Taiwan's pharmaceutical development and industry value chain.
