The National Biotechnology Research Park (NBRP) debuts under the theme “Rooted in Mountains, Climbing the Peaks,” symbolizing Taiwan’s scientific resilience and its ambition to scale new heights in biomedical innovation.

This year, five key institutes join NBRP’s core facilities and startup graduates to present a united front — including a major international collaboration with Japan’s Shonan Health Innovation Park (Shonan iPark)!

Meet the Mountain Forces:

• National Center for Biomodels (NCB): Leading the way in precision oncology tools like humanized mice and PDX models to fast-track cancer drug development.

• National Defense Medical Center: Partnering with NCB to establish a high-level BSL-3 platform for emerging infectious disease research and pandemic preparedness.

• Life Sciences Research Promotion Center (LSRPC), NSTC: Fostering interdisciplinary life science talent from campuses to national policy.

• Youth Camp for Biotech Startup (YCBS): Built by students, powered by passion — inspiring the next wave of biotech entrepreneurs.

• Shonan iPark (Japan): Japan’s first open-innovation bio-ecosystem joins forces with Taiwan to deepen regional biotech links.
