Connecting Taiwan’s biotech resources with global investors!

On 16th Oct, an exciting meetup hosted by Globalbio and TINVA gathered over 20 experts from the VC and investment community, fostering collaboration between Bio-Med companies like CytoArm, Bio Preventive Medicine Corp., and Bamboo Technology Ltd. Attendees met, learned, and engaged with leaders in biotech and MedTech in the relaxing atmosphere of Prince Group in Taipei.

Three founders took the stage to share their latest innovations:

• CytoArm (Dr. K.H. Chuang): Revolutionizing CAR-T with Armed-T cells, expected to hit clinical trials by the end of this year.
• Bio Preventive Medicine Corp. (Tzu-Ling Karen Tseng): Leading Taiwan’s first IVDR solution, aiming to make kidney disease detection routine.
• Bamboo Technology Ltd. (Lynia Huang): Expanding globally with AI-driven emotion analysis to enhance mental health counseling.

Lillian Wang, co-host of the meetup and CEO at TINVA, emphasized that TINVA, a non-profit, is dedicated to supporting Taiwan’s deep tech startups, helping them connect to global resources and shine on the international stage. 

Charlene Hu, CEO of GlintMed Accelerator, shared the origins and goals of GlintMed, highlighting its mission to accelerate Taiwan’s biotech startups. Dr. Min-yi Shih from the Teala Alliance also introduced the 2024 Select LA x TINVA initiative, aimed at facilitating face-to-face interactions between Taiwanese SMEs and U.S. experts, creating a global bridge for innovation and collaboration.
