Silicon Valley-based Amed Ventures is doubling down on Taiwan's Medtech sector, launching a NTD 4 billion (approximately USD 125 million) fund to accelerate innovation in high-end medical devices and contract development & manufacturing (CDMO). In November 2024, Wiltrom Co., Ltd. (6767.TWO)—Taiwan's first minimally invasive spinal medical device company—secured NTD 270 million (approximately USD 8.4 million) in new funding. The round was led by Amed Ventures, with participation from its major shareholder, Intai Technology (4163.TWO).
William Tai, Managing Partner at Amed Ventures, emphasized that beyond financial backing, the firm plays an active strategic role, helping portfolio companies scale, innovate, and navigate global markets.
